"Discovery within a week" returns to UK schools. The Mayor's Fund for London organized training of teachers to run the course. Working with astronomers from the University College of London, teachers will learn the basics of astronomy and software to be used in search for new celestial objects. The teachers will set up and run their own Discovery clubs with 10 students from year 7-9 beginning after the Christmas break.
In the framework of the project its participants will make real scientific discoveries. They will be discovering new asteroids and variable stars— and naming them after themselves!
